When you get more advanced you can add weight to your feet. This is like using weights on any other part of the body it will build the muscle faster.
The Plank
The Plank also known as the core position is a great exercise to strengthen the entire abdomen. This is push up position but on your elbows instead. Start with 0 seconds and work your way up to 5 minutes. It can be done. Doing this exercise regularly will give your body fantastic results.
